Mary Catherine Larkin

LARKIN, Mary Catherine – of Gladwin, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 73, passed away August 6, 2012 at Brian's House Hospice of Davison. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski and Rev. Fr. Joe Krupp concelebrants. Cremation will follow the Mass. Visitation will be 11a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Scripture Service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. On Thursday, there will be visitation at the church for one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House Hospice of Davison or Heartland Hospice of West Branch.

Mary was born in Flint on May 23, 1939, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Boyd) Clark. Mary Catherine Clark married James Larkin on October 12, 1957. Mrs. Larkin was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris where she volunteered for many activities and was an Eucharistic Minister for 30 years.

Mary is survived by her husband of more than 54 years, James; children, David (Teresa) Larkin, Melany Larkin, Monica (John) Doud, James D. (Jill) Larkin, Brigid (Michael) Hennessey and Madelyn (Daniel) Shultis; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
