MEADOWS, Doris L. – of Davison, age 74, passed away May 6, 2012 at her daughter’s home. A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 12-1 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Doris was born in Steele, Missouri on October 19, 1937, the daughter of Fernander and Lela (Talley) King. Doris King married Wayland Meadows on October 20, 1956. Wayland preceded her in death on January 23, 1991. Doris was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a legal secretary in the Flint area for over 40 years.

Doris is survived by her mother, Lela; daughters, Denise (Tom) Crystal and Shelley (Kurt) Meibeyer; grandchildren, Heather (Jon) Townsend, Ryan West and Chad Crystal; great-grandson, Aiden; sister, Phyllis Jean Cardenas; nephew and niece, Jeff and Terri Cardenas. She was preceded in death by her father, Fernander and nephew, Steve Cardenas.
