BROWN, Sheldon Russell – of Davison, age 71, passed away May 1, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 208 E. Fourth St., Davison, Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Saturday, there will be visitation at the church for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Sheldon was born in Flint on January 7, 1941, son of the late Stanley and Marion (Flood) Brown. He married Wanda Baumgart on February 23, 1963. Sheldon was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Davison Township Planning Committee. Sheldon was a surveyor for Flint Surveying and Engineering Company for over 30 years. He loved his John Deere tractor and deer hunting with family and friends. Sheldon was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Sheldon is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda; children, Shelli (Rob) Voight and Scott (Heather) Brown; grandchildren, Ariel (Joel) Hammond, Daniel Voight, Janssen Smith, Jason Voight, Logan Brown, McKenzie Brown and Rylee Brown; great-grandchildren, Brady Sheldon Hammond and Ella Rae Hammond; sister, Sandra Charles and many other close family members and friends.
